Next number in sequence on Mr. Gessle’s self-titled debut album
(’cause why not), this one’s title translates to “if you want (to),” or
“if you feel like it.” So depending on the context, you’ll see it
translated both ways in the lyrics below. It’s sung together as a duet with Marie Fredriksson, who later became the female half of Roxette. And so this is actually just like a Roxette song, but in their native language instead of English. They teamed up together as Roxette for the first time in 1986, though they’d already been collaborating on records as early as 1981, starting with songs by Per’s Swedish band, and on his solo projects as well. And so for those of you who are fellow Rox fans, while this isn’t telling you anything you don’t necessarily already know, when you listen to “The Look,” “Listen To Your Heart,” “It Must Have Been Love,” “Joyride,” all Roxette songs big and small, these are the same two voices you hear, singing this very song, “Om du har lust.”

Ordning på PGs eponyma debutalbum för oss nu till “Om du har lust.” Den sjungs tillsammans med Roxettes kvinnliga halva, Marie. Så är denna i huvudsak en Roxette-låt, bara på svenska. De fäste ihop som Roxette först 1986, fast redan hade samarbetat på Gessle- och Gyllene Tider-låtar så tidigt som ’81. Den första GT-låt Marie la sång på var en icke-albumssingel som hette “Ingenting av vad du behöver.”
